Dear Reader, These writings came about as the author, David Lowell, has stated before due to his own fragmented life experiences. As the author's practice of the statements contained within these pages was affirmed daily, so was the author's growth and spiritual awakening. These writings are Divinely Inspired information from God's scripture. The reader may choose to refer to his or her own sense of spirituality... 'the individual's higher source'. Or whatever name you choose to give your perception of deity, universal awareness, origins or God. This book is written as a working tool to provide the reader with insight and renewed hope. I hope these writings and the information contained within them inspire you to move more gently into a better way of viewing yourself and the world around you. I am so pleased to share with you my writings as inspired by The Holy Gospel. I thank you for allowing me to share my beliefs with you as I rejoice in the life our Lord and God through Jesus Christ has given me. This is your workbook, your workspace, use it as such. I have left the back of each page blank so you can have a space to write your thoughts, as you read. Take your time and work each sentence and each page. You will find a lot of information contained within these words which can be taken on many dimensional levels and applied in many ways. It is up to each of us to demonstrate God's love through our individual and collective actions. Remember each decision you make impacts those around you. For me, in my life, it has been my sense of faith that has sustained me when I have to make decisions. Prayer is a powerful tool that I use in every day life. There is no set way to pray and each of us converses with God in our own way. I hope these writings give you more options to choose from and that with those increased options you can find new pathways to rediscover your connection to your higher power. Thank you for your interest and your support. I appreciate your allowing me to share a piece of this journey of discovery with you. EMPOWERING THE INDIVIDUALI believe in empowering the individual through the use of Scripture and Divine Mind, which is the naturally occurring intuitive thought processes each of us has that we often question. And in so doing we learn to trust our own instincts while developing the inner intuitive self that we have learned to mistrust. ![]() The Koi fishpond in my back yard.
From time to time I will try to put notations in here to help personalize the workbook to make it more interesting for the reader. No matter where you live it is important to create pleasant areas for calm meditation and relaxation. My calling to relate my experiences with God started as an outcome of events in my life. I have survived many challenges and learning experiences - my N.D.E. (Near Death Experience) and the passing of loved ones through suicide, kidney failure and ovarian cancer. What has given me my foundation is the knowledge that we are reflections of God, Divine Mind and the Universe's perfection. This is our strength. To stand on this foundation of faith, all we have to do is deflect negativity, which is anything that is not Divine. This is the power of allowing God, of Divine Mind and Universal Perfection, to come into our life and sustain and heal us. The simple action of: Reflect and Deflect. It is not my intent to change, modify or explain any life situation or to depersonalize anyone by imposing my belief system upon them. It is my intent to listen to you and your concerns in an understanding and safe manner with respect. I have been with many people during life transitions. One thing that I have discovered through this process is that each individual has come to the understanding that there is a God and that you are not alone and that you do not have to be fearful. Some have come to God in a more difficult manner, some have come easily. But in the end there is one thing I am sure of and that is you will come to know God. For me, perhaps it is because I accept that Jesus Christ died for 'our' sins and that we are reborn through our acceptance and belief in Him. But that is my personal belief. All we can do is to share our unique perspectives, which have hopefully strengthened our personal foundations, while being tolerant and understanding of those who may have different views than ourselves. For each of us has had a unique life that has shaped over time who we are and through the events we have experienced. No one can ever really understand what another is going through or why he or she has made the choice they have made. To intend or direct action is to create and manifest positive outcome. By directing action and intending a positive outcome from that manipulated behavior we script our reality. By scripting our reality through staged manipulation we can pull out of predicted behaviors and the resulting expected reaction, giving way to successful behaviors with beneficial outcomes. All of us, and I mean all of us, have been angry, resentful, and 'acted out' from time to time in an inappropriate manner. We have all brought drama into our lives and perhaps not always reacted as well as we could have to unexpected life events. But one thing I am sure of is that this alone makes us all human and being 'such' we are subject to making mistakes. More importantly we are able to heal and move through those mistakes when we are ready to commit to accepting personal responsibility for our actions and reactions. We project our own unique perspective of the reality we live onto others, and into our everyday interactions, and therefore we draw that energy into our lives. Good or bad. We all manifest the results of 'our perspective' which we arrive at due to our own free will, often times assigning the responsibility of our behavior and reactions onto others (those who caused it which are those who we blame) rather than owning it ourselves and simply moving on. Daniel 2:21 Learn to understand yourself. Not in relation to others, or by the standards of others, but through your relationship with God. There is no set way to self-discovery; each person must find his or her own way. For some it may seem easy and for you it may seem harder, but you do not know that other person's story or what they have experienced. STOP comparing your life to everyone else's. |
